A USA company has introduced reusable and interchangeable magnetic wraps for the Cybertuck. The magnetic covers are available in a variety of colors, and the full set costs $2,000. The clever solution takes advantage of the EV’s plain steel body panels. The Tesla Cybertruck’s bare stainless steel body already turns heads, but for many owners, that’s not enough because they want to make it their own. While vinyl wraps are the go-to option for personalization, a company called Cybertruck Covers has introduced a simpler, more versatile alternative: reusable magnetic wraps that can be applied or removed in minutes.

Unlike traditional vinyl wraps, which require expensive professional installation and can be a pain to remove, these magnetic covers appear to install effortlessly. They can be swapped out in different colors, reused multiple times, and installed at home without the need for special tools. Essentially, they offer a quick and reversible way to give your Cybertruck a fresh new look. The downside is that, unlike a traditional wrap, the edges are left exposed. According to the company’s website , the magnetic wraps will soon be available in a wide variety of colors, including White, Steel, Black, Blue, Green, Desert, Gold, Rose Gold, Copper, Orange, Red, and even a Color Change option. The covers are designed to fit each body panel of the Cybertruck, and the EV’s sharp edges help hide exposed areas around panel gaps. While reusable wraps seem like a great idea in theory, the magnetic solution is likely only feasible due to the Cybertruck’s angular design. The flat, unpainted stainless steel panels provide a smooth surface for the magnetic cover to adhere securely, keeping it in place without flying off quickly.

As simple as the concept may sound, the company has acknowledged that the Cybertruck’s inconsistent panel placement was a challenge during development. Cybertruck Covers noted in a post: “The Cybertruck’s body panels, as most of us know, are not precise or consistent. There are slight variations on each Cybertruck, so it’s difficult to produce a set of covers that are precisely cut for a single solution,” the company’s owner said. “Sharp corners needed to be slightly radiused (rounded) to allow for error during DIY assembly, and also to prevent air pockets along sharp corners that could cause the covers to lift in high wind speeds.” In addition to a complete set for the EV’s entire body structure, Cybertruck owners can also opt for a single magnetic cover for the front panel. This can provide a two-tone look to the truck’s front end while also protecting against stone chips and scratches. The product hasn’t reached customers yet, but Cybertruck Covers has shared prototype photos on its social media pages. A short video shows the white magnetic film being neatly rolled onto the front end of the truck, with the installer carefully aligning the film around the headlight bar.

According to the company, the prototype was tested in “cold, rainy, windy conditions at 80 mph highway speeds,” and the magnetic covers “caught on flawlessly.” As for pricing, the entire magnetic covers cost $2,000 regardless of color, while the dashboard protector costs $195. That’s a bargain compared to Tesla’s own vinyl covers for the Cybertruck, which start at $4,500 at select service centers.
