So much has been hyped about the dangers of EV's yet what about that liquid tank of explosive fuel you drive with? Let the rage begin yet Ford just recalled more than 200k ICE SUV's.
The automaker announced the recall on Ford Expeditions and Lincoln Navigators after learning their heating and cooling fan motors can catch fire, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported late last month.
Affected models were built between 2015 and 2017.
So far, 25 fires have been reported and a dozen of them caused extensive damage.
Dealers will replace the front blower motor assembly, free of charge, according to NHTSA. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed Sept. 12, 2022.
Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and give the recall number 22S56.
They may also contact NHTSA's Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
