Greened Tropica EV, Inexpensive & Fun!

Under $15k and the first affordable electric supercar to hit the streets was this Renaissance Tropica from Florida, USA and video by Quck Shift. It was gone and now returning!

Powered by a pair of electric motors with a lead-acid battery and given fun Corvette-esque exterior style, the Tropica car looked like it would be a big hit when it debuted at the Detroit Auto Show in 1994. Sadly, Renaissance Cars ran into a few road bumps that led to this $13,000 open-top cruiser being lost to financial troubles. However, there is hope for a short revival by some former EV's engineers seeking a cool project! Stay tuned...
