In our continuing series of Green events and beginner’s guidance to attending one or more in your area, today we march to a London March 2.22.18 event featuring Kate Brandt, Lead for Sustainability at Google and other notable Green speakers. The event begins with opening remarks from Daniel Franklin, executive editor of The Economist followed by sessions looking at counteracting short-terminism in business strategy and investment, the challenges in transitioning to a more sustainable business model and how humans respond to short- or long-term threats. Economist Events brings the rigour of informed analysis and intelligent debate that The Economist is known for to life on stage in international forums. We host over 80 events annually in over 30 countries on topics that convene world-class thought leaders on a range of strategic business issues. That is over eighty events a year and we hope to be covering nearly all with a short summary of each. photos and video interviews. Although the term sustainable is often the professional word used for Green, it is all good as everyone seems to be aiming for a cleaner, greener planet for ourselves and future generations. And of course, business has a LOT to do with the way we go green, how fast we get there allowing accountability along the way with great get together events such as this all over the world. Also, to address the carbon footprint of events requiring great travel, we are in talks to bring these gatherings, their speakers, topics and attendees to your phone, laptop, desktop and boardroom via the GreenTV media platforms so stay tuned!
