Philly 2.1.18

What’s new besides the Delaware Valley Green Building Council changing it’s name to Green Building United? How about a celebration on 2.1.18 in Philadelphia, land of greening and Green Building United! The 2.1.18 event link is here and getting back to DVGBC’s name change, Alex Dews and Margaret Salamon seem to be heading up the Delaware Valley’s group with Executive Director Alex saying “Fifteen years ago a small group of volunteers came together around a common interest in sustainable design and building to start Delaware Valley Green Building Council. The goal to educate and advocate for green building practices across the region unified the founding group of contractors and architects, engineers and policy advocates – many of whom are still engaged with our work today. Like our founders, we are unified in our goal to advance sustainable building solutions to match the scale of the challenges we face. Our new brand acknowledges our history of impact, and aligns better with our current work and future aspirations. We are committed practitioners, passionate advocates, and dedicated volunteers; we are Green Building United”. Thank you Alex! And now with GreenTV’s film studio in Wilmington, Delaware, we plan to be covering more of the local green events and maybe even offer a Wilmington office to Green Building United where the new series “Green that Building” is being filmed on-site. Perhaps we will see more of Alex, Margaret Salamon, Katie Bartolotta, Leah Wirgau and Megan Slootmaker, their many members and projects of Green Building United on the big and small screens in 2018! See you in Philadelphia this coming Thursday!
