Green Spa

Having helped design and build a few small green spa retreats with pure living water (no chemicals), hemp linens, robes, hand chosen crystals and other green luxuries, I was quite excited to read the announcement by Glenn Hasek of Green Lodging regarding the 10th Green Spa Network coming to Atlanta on March 11! The Green Spa Network 10th Anniversary Congress is the only spa industry event dedicated to sustainability education and inspiration. The facilitator for the event will be Bill Reed, AIA, LEED; Principal, Regenesis Group. Reed is an internationally recognized practitioner, teacher, and authority in integrative systems design, sustainability, and regenerative community planning and implementation. Regenesis is an organization working to lift human activities into full integration and evolution with living systems. His work centers on creating and implementing a whole and living-systems engagement and design process; realizing exponential value to the qualities of life within projects, communities and their ecosystem. He is also a co-author of the seminal work, “Integrative Design Guide to Green Building” and a founding Board of Director of the U.S. Green Building Council. Keynote speakers will include: Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith, Founder, Agape International Spiritual Center; Josiah Cain, Director of Innovation, Sherwood Design Engineers; and Celia Hoffman, Associate Director, The Goodman Center. A unique gathering in the spa industry, GSN’s Congress creates an environment for professional and personal exploration through quality education, collaborative sessions, and networking. Convening at Carmel Valley Ranch, located in the sunny foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains, Congress will offer attendees a multitude of adventures and excursions. As a camp-inspired resort, Carmel Valley Ranch encourages a playful connection to nature and each other. The three-day GSN Congress event is designed to be an interactive experience providing attendees with the inspiration and supportive community necessary for taking action to support sustainable businesses, people, and planet. We hope to see you there and here is the link for registration and information
